Wolfgang Wagner to speak at METOP-C Launch Event

The MetOp-C satellite is scheduled for launch on a Soyuz rocket from Kourou, French Guiana, at 01:47 CET on Wednesday, 7 November. METOP-C will carry the third Advanced Scatterometer (ASCAT) instrument, which – together with its two predecessor instruments – will provide highly-valuable research data for the GEO microwave remote sensing team. To highlight the value of the METOP satellites for the monitoring of droughts in a changing climate, Wolfgang Wagner was invited by EUMETSAT to give a short speech at the METOP-C launch event shortly before launch. Watch the live steam of the event!
